Committee Members
We are pleased to introduce our committee members for the academic year 2024-2025
Camilla Webster has joined JKS as the new Head of Pre-Prep. She moved from Suffolk with her family and both girls now attend JKS in Y3 and Y7. Alongside a love of education and early years, Camilla has a passion for indoor plants, design and her little dachshund.
I'm Charlyn, a proud parent of 2: Thayer (3yrs old) and my sweet 5 yr old Amelie, who is now navigating her way through Yr 1. Just like her, I'm on a mission to connect and thrive within this vibrant community. As an advocate for education and a strong believer in the power of collaboration, I'm excited to embark on this journey of parent involvement. I am excited to embark on this journey for another year, alongside an amazing team.
We moved to the UK with our four children after coming from South Africa and Dubai. I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and I speak English and French. During my spare time I enjoy reading, swimming and tennis. I am happy to join the FJKS team and hope to make a positive contribution
I’m Bela Mannings, and my daughter is currently in Year 3 at JKS. I joined the charity committee to help build a strong community for my child, her friends, and future generations of JKS pupils. Being part of this committee is a fantastic opportunity to organise events that bring people together while raising funds for local charities, and I’m honoured to be part of it and to be able to contribute to such a meaningful cause.
Hi, I'm Lindy Zhang. My two sons joined this school in the spring of 2023. We've felt incredibly welcomed and supported by everyone here. The teachers and parents at this institution consistently demonstrate through their actions a commitment to fostering the personal growth of every student. I am honoured to be a member of the FJKS community and look forward to contributing to its continued success.
I am Keith. My son came to the school in year 5 after moving to Canterbury from France in 2022 and is now in year 7. I've 2 daughters at university & I'm married to Joana. I joined the FJKS committee because I had promised my son that I would be more involved in his school if ever we moved back to the UK and it seemed like a good way for me to integrate more quickly. Happy to give some of my time and energy, help raise money for worthwhile causes; maintain the sense of community and have fun.
My name is Marouso and I have a daughter at the pre prep. From the very first moment the school has embraced our family and I am delighted to offer my help for this community. I am here to support the effort of FJKS and interested in introducing ideas for future events which will highlight the pupils' work and talents and will also be opportunities for learning for our children.
I am Mary-Joyce Boateng and my daughter is in Yr 1 in the Pre-prep. I am humbled to be a member of the committee and I hope to be able to contribute by sharing my knowledge on safeguarding , diversity & inclusion issues, and to assist in organising any events by raising awareness to promote an equitable, inclusive and welcoming environment for all JKS pupils and their families.
I’m Cerise and we have been part of the Junior Kings family since 2021. I’m excited to be part of the committee, to do my part in helping to create an environment in which our children can thrive, to give them the best experience of school life and to organise events in which parents can socialise and support each other, have fun and raise money for our fantastic charities.
Arriving back from a 10-year stint at Harrow International School, Bangkok, I became the Deputy Head Pastoral and DSL in September 2022. A King’s family, my children attend Junior King’s and The King’s School, and my wife teaches at Junior King’s in Year 1. The health and well-being of the whole school community are of utmost importance to me. Happy, healthy children form the foundation of what we hold dear at Junior King’s, and out of this, success in their chosen pathway hopefully follows.
